BR Design worked in collaboration with this New York City architecture firm to execute the design and drawings for their new office space downtown. The design was based on a very minimalist and clean aesthetic while showcasing raw elements of the space, such as an exposed ceiling slab, polished concrete floors, and exposed steel beams at the reception area. This ‘curated raw aesthetic’ was particularly challenging at the ceiling slab where, being on the top floor, there was a large amount of plumbing and equipment to re-route and coordinate with new infrastructure to maintain a clean look. Attention to smaller details, such as material transitions, reveals, and lighting, was key throughout the project as well.
